CSA and Farm Sales

All CSA information has been updated on the website for the 2019 season. We are now taking new subscriptions.  All prices will remain the same as last year.  We have changed a few pick up locations.  We have added a home pick up location for folks in our area.

We are also adding farm sales directly from the farm. Call 717-486-4653 if you would like to make the trip for any fresh farm products over the winter or even in the summer.  We have also added a farm stand in our local area - at the Twirley Top on Route 34 in Gardners beginning in May.

Farm Fresh Winter Gardens

We have some very good winter greens including spinach, salad mix, kale, Swiss chard in the high tunnel.  We also have fresh radishes and field grown turnips and rutabagas.  We still have stored winter squash and pumpkins as well as great red beets and sweet potatoes!

We have several varieties of apples and good cider.

We just butchered 7! hogs - so we have lots of kielbasa, many varieties of sausage grillers and breakfast links as well as roasts and hams and chops.

We butchered 100 chickens a couple of weeks ago and we have about 100 that will be ready by the end of January.

Eggs, Jams and Honey

We have lots!

Farming News

We have been making a lot of needed repairs to the tractors - new tires, brakes, PTO repairs.  We are also doing some extension renovations to the high tunnel to give us a more trustworthy water supply.

We are hoping and planning to grow more early spring crops for March, April and May plus early summer crops.  We have a good size strawberry patch which, Lord-willing, will be producing this spring.  So all berry pickers - we will be open for pick-your-own berries this year.

Health Concerns

Don't forget!

Fresh vegetables will give you the nutrients that your body needs to fight off the winter diseases.  Vitamins are OK, but the best nutrients come from the soil.

We wish everyone a wonderful holiday.  Enjoy your family and friends!  Even when things do not go exactly great - as in 2018 growing season - God is Good.
