Hello, Everyone, Welcome to our Extended Fall session.
For any new folks - This is how it works. We will bring your CSA share in boxes to your location. each box will have your name on it.
PLEASE remember to bring back all the boxes, cartons, rubber bands, etc each week. We need to reuse these items.
This week's shares will include:
apple cider
Sun Crisp apples
carrots
Broccoli
Field Trip Pumpkins
Hot peppers
Personal shares:
Apple cider
Sun Crisp apples
carrots
Broccoli
Field Trip Pumpkin
The apple cider can be frozen. Be sure to pour off about a third of the carton so that it does not explode in the freezer! We have heard some amazing stories of blow outs, explosions and horrible mess! The cider is delicious! We love the taste the subtle difference in the taste very week depending on the blend of apples that we use.
Sun Crisp apples are sweet and crisp. These are great for eating or for baking - they hold their shape very well.
We have included a Field Trip pumpkin with the share this week. These are nice size with long stems. They are decorative and when you are tired of looking at them, they also make a nice pie pumpkin as well.
We are having the BEST broccoli ever this year! I am not sure why the broccoli is so good, but everyone has been raving about it this fall. Enjoy!
We do have all the items available on the online store. This is how the store works - you can order items from the store and pay for them immediate or you can wait and pay at the end of the session. The items will be included in your share. If you order any baked goods and it is too late for us to get them made before the delivery, we include them next week.
We hope you will enjoy this new session. We are looking forward to seeing everyone this week. Let me know if you have any questions.
I will be sending out the APPLE SPECIAL email in a bit.
